A cat or cat (commonly called felis catus) (scientific name: Felis catus) is a mammal that belongs to the feline family. It was domesticated by humans about seven thousand years ago. This is shown by the tendency of cats to heat and exposure to sunlight, and often sleep in places exposed to sunlight during the day, and there are dozens of breeds of cats, some furless and others tasteless as a result of congenital deformity.
